Loriana, a 2022 mare, is our future sports horse and promising youngster. She is by world number 4 jumping sire Zirocco Blue out of the talented Italian bred mare, Oriana FZ, who has a bright future in the competition ring. Loriana stems from the famous damline of Papillon Rouge, which is full of VDL bred horses.

The dam of Oriana FZ, Bolivia VDL, is sister to the approved stallion Glenfiddich VDL who unfortunately passed away at a young age. Oriana FZ is currently competing in Italy with her new owner and qualified for the 5yo Italian Championship finals in 2023. Oriana’s sisters are also showing loads of promise and talent in the competion ring.

Loriana attended the KWPN Merrie (stamboek-) keuring in 2025 and received good scores for all categories. She received her Sterpredikaat nomination. We elected to give her time in the fields as a 3 year old instead of preparing her for the IBOP tests later in 2025.
