Una is a mare that joined the Jameela family for a 6-month period to raise our 2023 colt, Tafari D.J. who needed a nurse mare after our foundation mare Hayden FZ had to undergo a colic operation 7 days after the birthing. The team at Paardenkliniek Dennenoord were kind enough to assist us in sourcing a nurse mare. The match was made at the clinic in Duizel in the south of The Netherlands.
After the successful matching, both Una and Tafari made the trip up North and are currently enjoying fields along with the other 2023 foals and their mothers. Una has been a special addition to the family, and although she is only joining us for a short time, her contribution to the stud and to Tafari’s upbringing will always be remembered.
